During the German occupation, during the Second World War, a fundamental role was played by the "Partisans". The partisan formations had different ideals and political motivations but were united by the same objective: to contribute to the victory over the German occupation forces. The operations that the Partisan groups carried out were very different and ranged from "intelligence" and support activities to Allied operations to sabotage activities for the logistic and communication infrastructures of the enemy.
